Anne Reid narrates Winn's memoir in a thin voice that carries hints of reflection and weariness. It's perfect for the emotions that Winn shares about her hike along the Salt Path of the British coastline with her husband, Moth. Having lost their home and learned of Moth's debilitating illness, their story is often one of frustration. Reid makes listeners feel every blister, pang of hunger, and indignity along the path as the two camp rough for hundreds of miles. She also shares the author's concerns about Britain's homeless.
