|“The Merchant of Venice” is another wonderful masterpiece of William Shakespeare’s masterpieces. It tells us its events in Venice. It is a unique mixture of feelings of nobility, loyalty, and love for a friend and husband, and a rare example of sacrifice and redemption, and an interesting display of those noble feelings in the face of their opposites of meanness and villainy with scarcity and absence of conscience.
The result of the eternal struggle between good and evil is the greatest proof of the strength of the first and the humiliation of the second. The writer represented all of this through the Jewish usurer “Shylock” who seeks revenge on a man who has reached the age of fidelity to become proverbial, and events are intensified by the attempt of this noble friend to save him, so does he succeed in realizing his goal as he wanted, or does fate have another will? ?
